Einige Zeit hat es gedauert, doch nun ist es soweit: Ciara wird ihr zweites Albumüber das Label La Face/Zomba an den Start bringen. „Ciara: The Evolution“ wird rechtzeitig zum Weihnachtsgeschäft in die Läden kommen. Das genaue Datum fürdie Veröffentlichung ist der 5. Dezember dieses Jahres.
Ciara hat nicht nur so gut wie alle Songs auf diesem Longplayer selbst co-geschrieben, sie hat auch noch Erfahrungen im Produktionsbereich gesammelt. Hier bekam sie Hilfe von Größen wieRodney Jerkins, Pharrell Williams, will.i.am, Lil Jon und Polow.
„When ‚Goodies‘ came out, people labeled methe ‚Princess of Crunk N B,‘ but that was just one song, one sound. My first album had a much bigger variety than that, and I’m taking that even further with Ciara: The Evolution. For this album, Itook my inspiration from many different influences and the sound really reflects that“, so die Künstlerin.
„Promise“ wird die erste Single von Ciaras zweitem Album sein. Als Produzent trat ihr hier Polow zur Seite. Die Sounds der Künstlerin entwickeln sich mehr und mehrweiter, man darf also gespannt sein, was als nächstes kommen wird. Ciara äußerte sich hierzu wie folgt: „The world loves to dance, so I wanted to give them music todance to, but at the same time, the message is so much stronger. This time around, I’m taking people into my world and letting them see more of who I truly am.“
